Hardware and software required for a kit of HTLock online Access Control System (ACS) are included in this section.
Online ACS card encoder
The primary function of the device is issuing classic guest cards, which also can work offline, and the registration of permanent guest cards. In addition, the encoder is operated in the HTLock system to issue staff service and equipment (electronic locks, controllers) ACS install cards.
The encoder is connected to HTLock software or the PMS integration module via Ethernet (LAN), which eliminates the need to use extra computer ports.
This is a required component.
Online ACS lock programmer
This is a device for quickly configuring online hotel ACS hardware: electronic locks, gateways, encoders, energy-saving switches, etc. It interacts with the application installed on a mobile phone, translates mobile phone commands into the format of the hardware. Also, it is used to test the signal strength of a lock gateway.
The device has an option of issuing guest cards and passcodes (for password locks) in case of a failure of the main system.
This is an optional element of the system, recommended for hotels with more than 25 doors.
Online ACS wall controller
The device is designed to control passageways equipped with non-standard hotel ACS locking units, for example, turnstiles, barriers, electromagnetic and electromechanical locks and latches, as well as any other device that can be controlled by the signal level of the relay of this controller. The wall controller is often used as a general lock on the hotel entrance, a building or a floor. It allows guest authorization by card, permanent card, smartphone application, and passcode. As with the online electronic lock, it can be opened remotely from the server.
This is an optional component.
Gateway for connecting locks to the online system
The gateway operates with locks using the Sub-1G protocol at a frequency of 433 MHz and makes it possible to connect up to 32 online locks (controllers) simultaneously to the HTLock system. Locks that do not support the Sub-1G protocol can be connected to the gateway using the BLE protocol version 4.2.
Ethernet (LAN) is used to connect the gateway to the server. Locks based on HTLock software and which are not connected to the gateway work offline. After connecting the lock to the gateway, the online mode is activated automatically, and all the capabilities of the hotel HTLock ACS become available.
The HSU-FK002-BT online energy-saving switch can be also used as a room lock gateway.
This is an optional component of the system. Locks without the gateway work offline. For a system using online functions, this element is required. It can be replaced by HSU-FK002-BT.
HSU HTLock online ACS software
The HTLock software is installed on a server hosted by the hotel. This makes it impossible for the system to fail due to an Internet connection error and provides smooth guest service. User work with HTLock takes place entirely in a browser and does not require the installation of any software directly on the administrator's computer. All equipment is connected to the server via an Ethernet network. Thus, any operating system for computers at the reception can be chosen: Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, or Linux.
HTLock deals with configuring and managing the hotel ACS and has the function of issuing staff and guest cards. In addition to cards, other authorization methods are available for guests: by permanent card, mobile phone application, passcode (for password locks).
The power management module enables making reports on the use of rooms. Each event of power supply turning on and off in the room is displayed in the corresponding report highlighting the exact time of event and the card owner's full name (either a guest or a staff member). This function is useful primarily for hotel owners to prevent improper room use when it is impossible to monitor the staff activity in other ways.
This is a required component.
PMS integration software
The improved PMS integration interface supports two ACS systems: ILMS and HTLock, including the operation in hybrid mode, when both ILMS- and HTLock-based locks are simultaneously used by the same hotel. HSU PMS integration module has been tested with the most popular PMS and supports two protocols. HSU protocol is for easy integration also with new PMS and other systems such as fitness management systems; and FIAS is for integration with Fidelio and Opera by Oracle Hospitality.
The PMS integration module solves the following issues:
- Guest service speed and quality.
- A reception administrator works in a single system, in the usual PMS environment.
- Keycards for guests are issued quickly and without data discrepancies with the hotel's accounting system.
- Hotel owner's security.
- The administrator cannot issue a guest card without showing the financial transaction in the hotel accounting program (PMS) if the integration option has been enabled.
