Offline System Software and Equipment
This section contains equipment and software that make up the set of the HSU hotel access control system (ACS).
Offline System Proximity encoder
An encoder is a device needed for issuing hotel guests' keycards when checking in at the reception. HSU hotel locks use the Mifare technology and do not stick the card directly to door locks. Guests' keycards have free circulation. Complete information about which hotel doors within what period of time can be opened with a particular keycard is recorded by a receptionist to the card itself at the moment of checking in by laying a card on the encoder.
Besides, there is a function to issue keycards by reservation. When issuing a new card, a guest can be provided access to extra hotel areas, such as a parking place, a wellness center, a sauna, a breakfast area, etc.
An encoder is also used to issue service hotel keycards that can be restricted according to particular areas of the building and the working hours of employees. For example, you can easily issue a keycard for an employee which is valid only for Building #1 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Besides, an encoder is needed to read passage events received from electronic hotel door locks using the keycard. In the absence of a lock programmer, an encoder is used to issue lock settings cards (electronic locks installation cards, time synchronization cards, stop cards, and so on.)
*This is an obligatory component of the HSU access control system.
Offline System Lock programmer
A lock programmer is a device for quick setting parameters of hotel door locks with keycards. In addition, a hotel lock programmer is used to quickly synchronize the time in the lock and read events from the electronic lock.
*This is an optional component of the system that is required in case there are more than 25 doors in the home.
Offline System Wall reader
A wall reader is a unit to control passage points in the hotel that are different from ordinary doors on which a classic electronic hotel lock is installed. A wall reader is used for metal doors and lattice ones with electromagnetic or latch locks. These lock types can be connected to a wall reader directly without the need to use additional intermediate controllers and relays. It can be also installed on turnstiles and boom barriers as passage controllers.
A wall reader is similar to an electronic hotel lock in the context of its operation principle. Besides, it can be used as an “area door”. For example, if it is installed on a boom barrier, the device can provide access to the parking place only to the guests who have the corresponding permission issued at the reception by recording this information to their hotel room keycard.
The installation of a wall reader does not need laying cables from the server, but external 12V power supply is required. A wall reader can be integrated with the fire alarm system to open the path in case of an alarm.
*This is an optional component of the system.
Offline System Software - HSU ILMS
This is basic software. It is used to configure room inventory, set parameters of the hotel access control system and primary programming electronic hotel locks. It supports the feature of issuing guest and service keycards. This software is enough for small hotels that do not require integration with the PMS hotel management system.
*This is an obligatory component of the system.
PMS Integration Software
It is used to integrate the hotel ACS HSU with the hotel property management system, the so-called PMS. The complete synchronization of the PMS and ACS databases is our major competitive advantage. All the keycard issue events sent from the PMS are always reflected in the ACS reports. All room statuses are always synchronized in the PMS and ACS.
All names of guests who have received a keycard are also present in reports. Forget about “faceless” reports in the ACS that an unknown keycard with just a number unlocked a door at a particular time. The entire chain of events and complete information can be always seen: when a keycard was issued, by who, the name of the guest for who the keycard was issued, when and by who the card was cancelled, the list of access areas for this particular card, etc. This is everything you may need to deal with complicated security situations.
Most people never think about these data and how they are important until they need this information, and this moment definitely is not the most appropriate to unravel the tangled thread and try to understand why there is no urgently needed information in the reports. The development purpose of this software was to provide a full security picture associated with the use of electronic hotel locks integrated with the PMS. We have reached it.
The potential integration with any other systems including restaurant or wellness center software as well as third-party ACS systems is an important point of our product. There are too many cases when these questions arise after buying electronic locks and the hotel faces a problem that such integration is impossible. But this is not the case of HSU. Several ways of integration into related systems with the ACS core are provided for.
The interface has been tested with a lot of popular management systems.
