HSU electronic hotel locks are autonomous electronic locks which operation is based on using Mifare cards. Their primary purpose is to be installed on hotel room doors. A hotel lock is an important part of the comprehensive access control system (ACS) of a hotel that provides the highest level of security and convenience to a guest, on the one hand, and is undoubtedly a much more reliable solution in the context of preventing unauthorized entries into a guest's room and the event control in comparison with mechanical hotel door locks, on the other hand. HSU hotel locks are battery-powered and have an independent controller. This means that there is no need to lay numerous cables to hotel doors and to buy any additional floor controllers. This access control system scheme has been recognized by most hotels worldwide.
The electronic part of HSU hotel locks uses only components of the modern Mifare technology that is approved by all manufacturers we can call our competitors. We are not trying to reduce the price of solutions by offering our customers outdated cheap technologies implemented in electronic hotel locks, which do not provide security and flexibility in managing the hotel access control system.
Hotel locks are fitted with a latch with which a guest can lock the door from the inside. This latch has an anti-panic function. This means that a guest can unlock the hotel door from the inside, even if the door has been bolted. In turn, the latch of an electronic hotel lock performs the Do Not Disturb (DND) function. A hotel maid's keycard will not open such a lock. Instead, a red LED indicator comes on. Nevertheless, the function of issuing service keycards to open the door in case of emergency situations is provided for.
HSU hotel locks are fitted with a sensor to detect if the door is not locked in the proper way. In the case when the door is not fully closed and the latch fails to get into the striker plate properly, the lock gives warning sound signals. This helps to avoid the situation when the door has been left open. The free travel of the handle prevents forced entries through the room door. Most mortise parts of HSU electronic doors have a mechanical closed door sensor that helps to avoid opening the room door by simply shifting the latch, for example, with the help of a knife.
The electronic components of each hotel lock are coated with the compound. This makes it possible for you to install the locks even on external house doors, hotel entrance doors, etc.
Each electronic hotel lock has a secret emergency mechanical key, which can be used to open a door in the event of a complete failure of all systems. Mechanical key opening events are also logged to avoid misuse of this function by the employees.
The mortise mechanisms of HSU hotel locks and their strength components are made of steel. Powdered aluminum alloys are not used in the power elements of HSU hotel locks. This ensures long-term durable operation of the devices even despite the potential not especially careful handling.
A wall reader is an optional component that allows using the HSU access control system as a controller to operate non-standard doors, turnstiles, and boom barriers. Integration with the fire and security systems is also available.
